Email Placement

Is it the copy,
or is it the domain?

Domain-level placement testing is built into Hypertide. Run your real campaign copy and a neutral control from the same domain, then read the difference.

Likely a copy issue

Neutral copy places well from the same domain, so the domain is not the problem. Revise the campaign copy before touching infrastructure.

The problem

Falling replies do not tell you what broke.

When a campaign underperforms, teams rewrite copy and rebuild domains at the same time, and never learn which one was the issue. Both are expensive. Only one was necessary.
Placement testing separates the two. Send the campaign copy and a neutral message from the same domain. If the neutral copy lands and the campaign does not, the message is the problem. If both land poorly, the domain deserves investigation before another word is edited.
How to read a result

Two sends. One decision.

The comparison is the point. A single placement number is hard to act on; a pair tells you where to look.

How it works

Run it from your Hypertide domain.

01
Pick the domain
Any domain on your Hypertide Entra or Google infrastructure. Testing is domain- level, so results describe the domain, not one inbox.
02
Paste your campaign copy
The real message your sequencer is sending, so the test reflects what prospects actually receive.
03
Send it alongside neutral copy
Hypertide sends a non-cold control message from the same domain for a like- for-like comparison.
04
Read the split
Inbox, other and spam placement for both, side by side, with the likely cause called out.
Leading vs lagging

Placement moves first. Reply rate confirms it later.

Inbox placement is the best leading indicator of email health. Reply-rate trends are the best lagging indicator. Watch the first so you are not surprised by the second.
Leading vs lagging

Inbox placement

Moves first. Tells you something changed before the campaign feels it.
Lagging indicator

Reply-rate trend

Confirms it later. By the time replies fall, the damage is already done.

Customer proof

What cold-email operators say about Hypertide.

“Hypertide has completely changed the way we approach deliverability. It's hands-down the most effective tool we've used to keep our domains warm and our emails landing in the inbox. The automation is seamless, and the results speak for themselves. If you're serious about cold email, Hypertide is a must-have.”

“Onboarded a customer that wanted to only target companies with over $5B in revenue and above. Hypertide.io is breaking into their inboxes for us. Usually, I give my whole song and dance about how I don't like doing outbound to really large companies—the TAM is small, it's tough to break through their spam filters. But this company has a really compelling offer with great case studies, so I thought, if anyone can break in, they will.”

“216,900 email accounts. 4,427 domains. Under 3 months. From zero. We brought on Hypertide.io as an infrastructure vendor—within the first week they processed 100+ orders across 135+ client brands: 1,700 domains and 85,000 inboxes, uploaded, warmed, tagged, and connected to multiple sequencers with 24-hour turnaround. Then we migrated 40,000+ inboxes between platforms while keeping campaigns live. Hypertide did it in waves across 3 weeks.”

“The B2B cold email stack that's working in 2026: Apollo for sourcing, MillionVerifier for validation, Hypertide.io for inbox infrastructure, and Instantly or Smartlead for sending. Get the infrastructure layer right and you can send 20,000+ emails a month that actually land.”

Your frequently asked questions, Answered.

Is placement testing really free?

Yes. Integrated domain-level placement testing is included free for Hypertide customers on Entra and Google.

Why compare against neutral copy?

Because it isolates the variable. Same domain, two messages: if only the campaign copy fails, the copy is the likely issue. If both fail, look at the domain.

Both versions placed poorly. What now?

Investigate domain and infrastructure health — authentication, sending patterns, reputation. If the domain needs rest, the Recovery Pool is where it goes.

Does a good result mean my campaign will convert?

No. Placement is a leading indicator of email health, not a guarantee of campaign outcomes. Reply rate is the lagging indicator that confirms the trend.
